Default Oasis news - Liam quits US tour opener after four songs

This band could have its own thread just on the fun that comes from touring. Will they even make it to Roseland on Sunday?

I am so tired of this spoiled group. I used to be a really big fan, but for the first time in my life, a band's offstage/onstage antics have irritated me so much that it has just ruined their music. Blaming your voice going out on the long flight to florida is so lame.

I saw a show earlier this year where the woman flew from Perth, Australia to the east coast of the usa, got off the plane, had 90 minutes to get from the airport to the venue until showtime. She arrived about 45 minutes prior to the show starting, walked on stage and delivered one of the best concerts I've ever seen in my life. This woman was exhausted, she had been in the air for well over 20 hours, got NO REST and didn't complain, she was happy to play for her fans.

Liam could learn a thing or two about performing from people like that. It might also help his voice if he stopped yelling and fighting so much with his brother.

That sucks. I hope they hold on until Monday morning. Then they can breakup every 5 mins.

Slightly off topic, and not to say Liam's not a sh!thead, but no one should be compared to the Aussies when it comes to handling the rigors of travel. I've worked with Australian academics and business people who can fly for 20 hours and slip right into a new schedule without needing so much as a nap. And (back to music) when I was in college, no one could match the Hoodoo Gurus, who on at least two separate occasions played over 300 shows in the US during two 10-month periods. The Road Warrior is a way of life as well as a post-apocolyptic movie for those people.

Good luck to those of you how have tickets.
