Default Roberto Carlos available in June!

He would be a great fit for a club like Red Bull New York, because the Bulls need a good defensive style on the field and the location of the new stadium to Portuguese/Brazilian community. He would be great for the attendance factor and he would bring great defensive experience from playing for many years in Europe at a top level and a few World Cup with Brazil's national team under his belt, and Bulls owner can afford to sign him!

Is he a good fit for Red Bull New York?

It's in spanish, but he is simply saying it's time to move on and he don't know where he will go yet...

I would definitely pay to see Roberto Carlos play on the Red Bulls! The guy is still so dangerous down the flank! Granted, his defense sometimes leaves a bit to be desired, but he is so dynamic. I usually wouldn't favor the DP being used on a defender, but he is definitely an exception. I doubt it will happen, but I would be in favor of it.

I'm not sold on this. He's a great player, but he's 33 and he's a defensive back. With questionable defensive skills...?

Red Bull is so terribly thin at forward that I think it's obvious we need to use our 2nd DP slot for a dangerous forward.

I think trading/scouting for a defensive back is a better option.

Hell, we brought Agoos in when he was older and slower than Carlos is now. I'd say sign RC up, but I'm happy with out outside backs. We need a striker, and if we're going to use our second DP spot, I want it to be on a striker. We shouldn't be turning into fanboys here, getting excited about every big name just because they *are* a name, regardless of whether or not they actually suit RB's needs.

Thumbs up Re: Roberto Carlos available in June!

Questionable in the Spanish league, he'd kick ass in MLS. He still has game, no doubt, I say bring him on!!!

Bring him in; play him as a wing midfielder. We are slow in midfield, and we have good, young wingbacks.

We have a pretty solid leftback already in Dunivant, maybe he could push up into left midfield to make roome for Carlos?

I still think a forward is the top priority right now, fill that first before thinking about Carlos.
