"Holy" numbers
What are the "holy" numbers for each team? By defination, the number is considered sacred due to some big names once wearing it.
For example: Argentina #10: Maradona wore it once and everyone who followed him must be honored and/or must carry a burden.
Here are some of my takes:
Brazil #10: Pele made it a sacred number, but Brazil produced amazing #10. the ones who got it will get plenty of expectations.
Manchester United #7: Cantona, Best, Beckham and now C. Ronaldo.

Arsenal 6 or 7.
Famous 7's: Liam Brady, Rocky Rocastle (R.I.P.), and Robert Pires.

Re: "Holy" numbers
Ajax had Bergkamp and Litmanen with number ten. Cruijff and Van Basten both wore number nine at a certain point in their carreers, but obviously Cruijff alone is enough to make number fourteen huge.

Re: "Holy" numbers
Following the death of their player Di Tomasso, who wore no. 4 and died on the football pitch from a heart attack, Utrecht have said no Utrecht player will wear the no. 4 ever again.

That also happened with Cameroonian Marc Vivien Foe as well. All clubs he played for retired his number.

Re: "Holy" numbers
Newcastle Utd - No. 9.
Having to follow in the footsteps of Milburn, Gallagher, Shearer, MacDonald, Cole and Robledo is no easy task.
