I don't have a prediction for the match. However, we don't have many options as far as the starting lineup goes.

I think it will look like this:

GK: Weidenfeller

Right Back: Metzelder

Center Backs: Amedick, Woerns
(or Amedick & Brzenska, depending on Woerns' health & fitness)

Left Back: Kringe

Sweeper: Tinga or Kruska

Half Right Midfield: Ricken

Half Left Midfield: Tinga or Kruska

Central Midfield: Sahin

Strikers: Frei, Smolarek

We'll be better off the next week with Valdez, Degen and Dede returning from their yellow card (Valdez and Degen) and red card (Dede) suspensions.

They say sometimes you have to hit rock bottom before you can begin to rise up.

I think Nelson Valdez has hit rock bottom. Let's see how he fights back. This will tell us what kind of player we have in him.

Will be a crucial match...again :-(

Anyway, I think we will see an "easy" win. If we won't trash Cottbus, we are in real trouble.

If "thrashing" Cottbus is the barometer of if we're in "real trouble" or not, then I think we're in real f#ckin' trouble.

I don't think this BVB team is capable of "thrashing" our amateur team right now......

And I mean at full strength, much less missing Degen, Dede, Kehl, and Valdez........

3-1 BVB....
brace by Smolarek, Ricken with another
Man of the Match will be Tinga/Kringe/Frei....expecting those 3 to have their better games here...

Most definitely....that mindless boot to the stands last week pretty much sums up his emotion for this season....
If I am Roeder....I am not giving Valdez the starting spot and I am using him, exclusively, in a 'sparkplug' role.....
