Philipakos on trial with Red Bulls
According to NY Post , Philipakos got his release from his Greek club if he dropped his lawsuite and has signed with red Bulls. Not sure about this guy. Does anyone know how good he might be?

Re: Philipakos signs with Red Bulls
Interesting. So is his signing simply to add further depth to the squad or does it signal that another midfielder else is on their way out? I believe somebody said in the other thread about this guy that he plays right-sided attacking mid, which is already Schopp's spot. I think that Schopp's starting position is secure for now, so I don't really see him knocking anybody out unless he can figure in more as a high-priced utility midfielder like Stammler or Dema.

Re: Philipakos signs with Red Bulls
so you say , Schoop looked real suspect at the end of the season last year he did not play good at all. Hopefully he has something left in the tank for this year

Re: Philipakos signs with Red Bulls
Schopp will be fine, he is a very intelligent player and now has a full off season to intergrate and gain match fitness.
Philipakos is a winger, but versitle. I can see him, like Schopp, being able to play multiple positions.

Re: Philipakos signs with Red Bulls
I'd be more excited about Capano. If he's fully healthy again he's a good player.

I'd like both as long as the salaries are reasonable.
