Re: Questions for Peter Wilt - V7 : Fire Forever
Peter:
Considering only Washington (with Mia and a huge inaugural game) and Atlanta in 2001 ever averaged more than 10,000 a game in attendance in the original WUSA, are you sure a Chicago WUSA II team could average 10-12k?

Sticking with the WUSA II line, I seem to recall that in England the Womens teams are part of the overall clubs, such as Aresnal. What are the chances that this will occur with MLS and WUSA? Or will they remain seperate from each other? What is your preference?

Nothing in soccer is ever "sure", but the partnership we've entered certainly makes it achievable.
Women's soccer is almost all "manufactured" ticket sales. The partnership is half the battle and that is signed. The rest is a matter of rolling up our sleeves and doing the hard work to sell the tickets.

There will be some of each throughout the League. Chicago would not have shared ownership with the Fire, but we would likely enter into a resource sharing partnership.

You mean you don't just put big full-page ads in the newspaper and wait for the phones to start ringing?

Peter, how do partnerships like this help the Fire? I can't imagine that there are that many people in the metro area that are womens' soccer fans who are potential future Fire fans.
However, I imagine there are many more Fire or mens' soccer fans who could be convinced to try sampling the womens' game. What's in it for the Fire?

Re: Questions for Peter Wilt - V7 : Fire Forever
Peter,
It appears that Thiago is [again] delayed in Brasil with purported "Visa Issues."
What, if anything, did YOUR front office do to avoid these sort of "issues?"
[subquestion]
If in fact this is a repeat issue, is this not an indictment of the player or the organization for failing to avoid a "repeat offense?"
Or is this an issue WRT Brasil specifically? [I seem to recall that Faria had similar difficulty in reporting to camp on-time...]
Thanks in advance!
