Default i wanna create a virtual tour...

so i wanna take a few pics of a room and make one of those panaramic "pictures" you see on the internet that use quicktime or java where you can view the whole room, moving back and forth. anyone know any programs that help you "stitch" the photos together and create a java script file?

I don't think JavaScript is gonna cut it. As I see it, you've got a couple of options.

1) Use static pages for each cardinal direction, with hotspots for navigation. Crude, but effective.

2) Use Flash. There is a tutorial here.

3) Apparently this is possible in both Quicktime and Java, but I'm not sure how.

I use this for simple panoramas of particular
scenes in Quicktime format.
(3d /modeling/rendering/animation is what
I do)

Gocubic (freeware):
http://www.panoguide.com/software/utils/gocubic.html

Extremely easy to use, requires 6 images for
cubic ( view of top and bottom)
( front, left, back, right, top, bottom)

Basicaly...:
"_1. Launch GoCubic.exe.
_2. Under Make Pano, select Set Compression to configure your output format and level of compression. (Photo-JPEG is the standard for QTVR)
_3. Under Make Pano, select Make Pano Movie.
_4. Browse to locate your 6 cube faces, and select the first image file from your sequence. (ex. cubeface1.bmp)
_5. GoCubic will automatically interpret the remaining 5 faces.
_6. Set the destination location of the output cubic QuickTime VR movie (default.mov)
_7. GoCubic will display the six cube faces as it imports them, and when complete, it will display the finished movie"

Or cylindrical:
"To create a cylindrical panorama, select Cylindrical from the Make Pano menu and choose a cylindrical panoramic image as your source image. The source image should be in normal, horizontal orientation, not sideways as was required in earlier versions of VRMakePano. The image dimensions, both horizontal and vertical, need to be divisible by 4"
