Hamburg whuppin' up on the boys from Wuppertal, at Wuppertal nonetheless.

    0-3.

    Feilhaber scores in 75'

A couple minutes left, but looks like Benny's getting out his frustrations today.

Note the 2 next to Hamburg. I believe it's 3rd division.

0-3 FT. Good win, given on road and Wuppertal near top of table.

Wuppertal's first home loss all year.

Benny's playing a full 90 here-- that's what counts. If he shows quality, he'll not be long for the "reserve" side.

Is that a statement or a question?

Mod is welcome to change title to include Zimmerman.

You know, maybe we should get equally excited about an 18 year old US :) kid who is playing at Benny's level right now.

I agree with this. Benny needs to be playing as much as possible. Paying a few dues along the way couldn't hurt him, I don't think his confidence is that fragile.

Anyone know what this means in German?

"Den Schlusspunkt markierte Benny Feilhaber in der 75. Minute."

He put the closing point (on the game) in the 75th.

Uh sorry, just realized you have to registered to see the pics.

In the forum a poster also posted an article in which the coach was very complimentary of Zimmermann.

Found a few comments on Feilhaber and Zimmerman. Could any German speakers translate?

Benny Feilhaber leaves three opponents untouched.

Feilhaber excelled for the HSV side and used the holes in the WSV defense when he left three opponents standing and scored to make it 3-0.

    Something like that anyway.

    I'll take a shot...

Volker Schmidt and Benny Feilhaber, both of whom have practically been part of the professional side in recent times, were along for the game. In contrast, the young American talent Preston Zimmerman had his first run-out. "He made quite an impact (created much pressure?), praised Baroen. However, when his best scoring chance arrived just before half time, the 18 year old wasn't clever enough.

    [...]

There was much celebration after Feilhaber scored the final point in the 3-0 away victory.

    and

Feilhaber closed a solo run against three Wuppertal players with a goal (this one's rough, there may be more there)

    [...]

The 18 year old american Preston Zimmerman received his third-league debut in place of HSV-striker Cannizzaro.
