    Text of the e-mail I just received:

    Change is Coming This Week!
    Change is coming, can you feel it in the air? Continuing with their recent spate of blockbuster announcements, the Rapids are set to reveal one of the biggest and most pivotal announcements in club history at the end of this week. Fans should make sure they stay glued to the club's website this Thursday and Friday to be the first to know what developments are in store!

    What will the announcement be? Well, we can't give it away just yet........but portions of the graphic pictured at left might give you a hint into the nature of the announcement. The only way you can find out for sure is to keep checking back to the Rapids' official website at the latter part of this week! Visit the Rapids' official website by clicking here

    Well, at first I thought it precluded the color change and then I noticed the color of the text. Red and light blue which is the rumored color change.

    Mmmmm, smell that hyperbole! "biggest and most pivotal" change in club history. LA gets Beckham, Rapids get Maroon jerseys. SOUNDS AWESOME.

    Color/logo change.

    Last week's email talked about an upcoming announcement being "one of the most impactful in club history". That turned out to be the All-Star game announcement, so the color change being "one of the biggest and most pivotal" would fit right in.

    Have they not gone public with the color/logo change yet? We knew that months ago.

    Yes, BigSoccer people have known this for months. The general population hasn't or doesn't know it yet.

    When there is a "Major Announcement" from MLSnet, etc., we on BigSoccer probably already knew about it at least 75% of the time.

    There's never been an official announcement, and at the preview event they did with fans (where the picture with the green shoes came from) they asked them not to share the info.

    No, wait, they're going to announce that the WOPR is going online!!!

    Covert units are being deployed to take out Matthew Broderick as we speak.

    ok ill take a crack at it.....i think they have agreed with a foreign club to have some kind of partnership....changed the colors to represent the new partnership....and will announce a significant player signing along with the color change and partnership..............if it isnt something along these lines then they will need to fire the person responsible for the overhype they keep sending out........good luck Colorado........

    The LA based contractor didn't anticipate snow in the winter which has delayed stadium completion so they are going to move their first home game against DCU to RFK.

    The color change is to bring the Rapids into the ownership (KSE) stable of teams. The KSE DNA as they like to see. You'll notice the new colors will be the same as the Colorado Avalanche (yes, even down to the Panatone numbers.)

    the graphic also has the illsuion of something happening trans- atlantic wise. But I feel as though we would have heard about a signing happening. I agree that it's probably just gonna be the colors.
