It is nice to have someone finally talk some sense about Beckham and not just go the easy and traditional route of slagging him for being overrated. Mon dieu he's only one of the best technical players of his generations, let's pile on him for not being as physically gifted!

I must respectfully disagree with your assessment of Landon Donovan though. I have much more respect for a guy like Brian McBride who would rather be a workman level player and compete at the highest level than a diminutive loser who stews in his comfy little beach house in Southern California after whimping out of the Bundesliga and is content to be a flat track bully against inferior opposition.

He also expressed his concern about Arena being fired because it would hurt his chances at being named captain. As if being completely worthless at the World Cup hadn't already done that?
