Re: New Nike Keeper Gloves
Look similar to the adidas gloves Not a keeper, but they seem to look like it so they should be fine..

Re: New Nike Keeper Gloves
not a keeper either but i picked up a pair of t90 gunn's at the local outlets and the only thing my goalie said was that he would buy a pair if they had spines. i don't know enough to care and i only play goalie if i have to for some odd reason.

c spines can b misleading...they often lead to bad technique....i dunno if u guys r just playin pick up i guess it doesnt matter but a serious goalie would look into it...like i wouldnt buy a pair of gloves jus tbecause they had spines..i would want totry them on and such...but thats just me

God help us all! The most ignorant answer I have ever heard…
I love it when non-keepers who don't know squat give advice to keepers. Do you guys go to the dry cleaners to buy groceries as well? Do you give advice to auto mechanics on how to fix someone else's car? In other words, when it comes to goalkeeping, you admit you couldn't find your exit hole with a funnel, but you're giving advice as to what is good gear. Nice. adidas & Nike count on ignorance to sell their gloves, adidas more than Nike. "It says adidas, so they must be good." Big mistake. Huge.
Nothing personal, just don't give advice if you aren't qualified to give it. End of rant.

Re: New Nike Keeper Gloves
Well that was a bit of an over reaction...
Goalkeeping is still part of football while groceries aren't even in the same sector as dry cleaning...I guess 'keepers are very 'different' afterall.
I've read a bit about gloves but obviously never give much input, but I have read that alot of the Nike and Adidas gloves that the pros are using isn't even what is being sold.

I have no clue though personally I played keeper for a while when I was younger, and I sure wish my gloves had spines So I'm not that picky

Re: New Nike Keeper Gloves
Wouldnt touch Adidas gloves if they paid me (id keep the money though!!) Just my own personal view. They did have some very good stuff about 6-7 years ago, but their relience on gimmicks has spoilt things. Just rely on their name to sell gloves.
The nike contact 4 palm is excellent, but nike are very 'gimmicky' too now.
Someone said above that they heard what the pro's wear is not what is sold to you and me. Why do you think that is? Only pro keeper I know of who does not have his own Nike Special Make Up (SMU) glove is Sorrensen.
Totaly agree with Old Us Keeper about what he said. It gets frustrating to hear people say you need this etc. Believe me, the quality lies elsewhere with gloves, dont just go on a brand name! In my indoor league just before x-mas, I split my gloves across the palm and just remarked to my team mate as I came off ''Damn, need new gloves now!'' He replies, "You need some of them adidas fingersavers!" No I dont, just need new gloves!!
Can I ask why so many people feel 'Spines' are needed?

Re: New Nike Keeper Gloves
Well, I'm really dissapointed everyone gives up on Adidas so easily. The new line is fantastic, I've been using it for a long time now. At least give the Responses or Fingertips a try! I've been really pleased with them.
