Default Rangers vs. Notts County [R]

Three more points for the Rangers as they are 2-0 winners against Notts County at Loftus Road today.

http://www.qpr.premiumtv.co.uk/today...374469,00.html

Paul Furlong scored in the first half (16th minute), Richard Langley on a free kick in the second (in injury time).

We've now pasted Oldham and Bristol City, although Bristol City has a game in hand. Bristol City and Cardiff have yet to play -- they meet tomorrow.

The table for the moment:

Crewe 44 GP, 84 Points
---
Cardiff 43 GP, 79 Points
QPR 44 GP, 79 Points
Oldham 44 GP, 78 Points
Bristol City 43 GP, 77 Points
---
Tranmere 44 GP, 74 Points

Its a shame that Crewe came back to beat Barnsley. We could have had a real shot at second. Still possible if we beat Crewe and they lose to Cardiff as well.

More on the playoff possibilities can be found here:

We'll know a little more after tonight, but this thing could still go so many different ways with just two weeks remaining.

Bristol beat Cardiff last night, so there are 4 teams within 2 points now, with everyone having played the same amount of games. Yikes. One more win, and QPR are in the playoffs officially, by my math. In a way it doesen't matter if we beat Crewe on Saturday, as we'd need a miracle to catch them for 2nd. But it sure would be nice.

How can we gain auto promotion? Let's see...

QPR wins at home vs. Crewe and at Colchester. That's 85 points.

Crewe loses at QPR and at home to Cardiff. That's 84 points. Crewe has a vastly suprior goal difference to us (+13), so a loss to us and a draw vs. Cardiff would still keep them above us.

Cardiff loses or draws at home to Wigan and defeats Crewe on the road. That's 82 or 83 points. Two wins and they'd also be on 85, but currently hold a +2 on us in goal difference.

Bristol City would have to slip up. They play at Chesterfield and at home to Port Vale. If they win just one and are held to a draw in the other, they'd be on 84. Chesterfield is fighting to stay above the relegation zone (they're one and two points ahead of two teams in the zone), so a draw there is certainly possible.

If we win both, Oldham can't catch us. They play Swindon Town at home and at Huddersfield Town. Two wins for them would put them on 84.

So, we need:
- Two QPR wins
- Cardiff defeats Crewe
- Wigan gets at least a draw against Cardiff
- Bristol City gets at least one draw

That's all fairly possible.

Come on you R's!

Sounds simple enough.

Let me pull some strings.

God is a QPR fan.

Well solved. Really isnt as far fetched as we would have thought a few weeks ago. Course the most important part is the two wins.
