Happy Holidays???
Everton at home on the 23rd, Chelsea away 3 days later, and ManU away 4 days after that.
Tough way to finish off the year. The boys looked knackered on Saturday and Coppell's line up options are somewhat limited. Does Coppell rest a few starters in preparation for the top two, or does he try to pick up 3 points against Everton and hope for the best on the 26th & 30th?
Things look better in January and February with 4 home matches against the rank and file of the league. Here's to a prosperous new year.
C'mon Royals!!!!

definitely B. We'd have to do exceptionally well to get even 1 point from those two away games. Far better to really go for all 3 v Everton.
We had two or three who were touch and go whether they'd play or not, and perhaps they shouldn't have done, but I think we were a little complacent and though we could beat Blackburn without having to get out of second gear. In the first half it was certainly true. In the second they stepped up the pace and for some reason we couldn't adjust.

Re: Happy Holidays???
I know blackburn is much better than it's been playing, and I know everyone loses a game now and then, and I know 26 points and 8th at this point in the year is fantastic, but the loss this weekend has left me massively depressed. I think Reading needs a signing in january, just to pick me up.
I'd like a great mid, I guess.
Thank god you can still count on vodka and gin, and, well, scotch.

Re: Happy Holidays???
It was mostly the way the game was lost that made it so bad. Easily the most depressing loss of the season, the only one which was even close for me was the Wigan game at the beginning of the year.
Anyway, yea, we need to go all out against Everton, then if rest is needed maybe give a few guys a rest against Chelsea and/or United.

Re: Happy Holidays???
Sorry sweetie. I wanted to get you something for Christmas, but the boss wouldn't let me.

Re: Happy Holidays???
Can I work for Steve Coppell?
(Yes, I'm a woman. No, I didn't get the shopping gene. Anyone who gets me a personal shopper for Christmas will be my savior!)

My shopping was done by early November. It was actually done by someone else, but it was finished by then.
This shopping stuff really is easy.
Still, I sure hope the kids like vodka...

If you start them early enough, it will be just like mother's milk to them ("Who is this Vod Ganockers?")

Re: Happy Holidays???
Perhaps Coppell should have made them go shopping instead of giving gifts to Everton.
