Re: New pics of Sandy stadium
It's not bad, it'll be interesting to see what it actually turns out like - particularly how close any other development will sit next to the actual venue... like perhaps a hotel or tv studio (if they haven't decided to set those a bit away from the venue).
Personally, I don't care that much at this point - I just want it done.
However, for those who don't want to click on the link... here are the drawings:

Re: New pics of Sandy stadium
Is this a bit of a downgrade (ie cheaper) from what we saw with the earlier renderings?
I seem to remember it being more enclosed, with more structure around the field (maybe that was just the hotel)?
I think it's rather obvious where the inspiration for this design came from, it looks alot like the HDC (and to a lesser extent Toyota Park in Chicago and the Richard in Colorado..)
Don't get me wrong, though, it looks great. And if it gets built it'll be a great for RSL and MLS.
HDC rendering from way back when:

Re: New pics of Sandy stadium
When there's a real groundbreaking and the deal is done, the renderings that come out then will tell the story.. At least with the stadiums so far, those have been the ones that look like the final product.. Even in LA we had renderings that were not what we got in the end but the last ones were right on..

Re: New pics of Sandy stadium
Am I the only one a little disappointed by these latest renderings? They seem to have downgraded a bit?
