MLS game of the week Saturday nights
I like the fact that MLSWrap is rebroadcast a few times during the week, but why isn't there a rebroadcast of the games?

Not sure I want to see the United/Fire game again.
Ugh.

That guy doing the play by play had me missing Jack Edwards. Man, did he suck.
The guy just wouldn't shut up.
A truly awful telecast tonight -- at least as far as the game was concerned.

My thoughts:
Kudos for fixing the zoom problem from the KC-DC match last week, but who else thought the crowd noise should have been pumped up?
I was switching from the Metro-LA match during breaks in action, and there was a huge difference between the two broadcasts. It seemed that FSW had the crowd noise turned way down and the lame-o announcer's mic turned way up. FSW, I love you, but send some of your cameramen and engineers over to your corporate sibling SkySports to learn how to properly broadcast the beautiful game.

Last week the FSW broadcast was way worse than the local feed.
This week, the Chicago feed was the fuzzy, muffled version and FSW had the clear feed.
Why? I have no idea.

I could be wrong, but I think FSW is just using the Shootout feed. I don't think they're manning the cameras and whatnot.

There was crowd noise?
Really?
I was at the game and there wasn't any. Anything you heard on TV was piped in.

I watched it on DirecTV and it looked and sounded fine. For an ugly, ugly game.

Who was that announcer? Do we get him all year, or only until his work-study program ends?
In case anybody missed it, he mentioned during the game how much the Fire were missing both Peter Novak and Hristo Stoichkov. The latter was apparently unavailable to the Fire due to suspension and not because he's on the DC United roster now.
Also, during the canned (i.e. had time to prep for it) commentary of the Galaxy-MetroStars game, he referred to MetroStars coach Bill Bradley.
But ESPN sucks.
