All-Star Teams: North v South
I've got a few emails on a fictional all-star game in the Premiership (to be played on a Monday morning between Premiership and Champs League programs)
I'm hereby announcing that it's North v South:
NORTH:
Man Utd
Liverpool
Everton
Bolton
Wigan
Man City
Blackburn
Newcastle
Boro
Sheff Utd
SOUTH:
Chelsea
Arsenal
Portsmouth
Reading
Aston Villa
Spurs
Fulham
West Ham
Charlton
Watford
So...it's up to you to pick the teams. Off you go.

Re: All-Star Teams: North v South
If you go with that uniquely American fair-play rule that all teams must be represented, which makes it one player per team plus a second from another...
NORTH:
Man Utd-Ronaldo M
Liverpool-Gerrard M, Riise(LB)
Everton-Johnson S
Bolton-Speed M
Wigan-Scharner (in Midfield)
Man City-Dunne CB
Blackburn-(I'd use Nelsen, but he's hurt) Ooijer (he's been coming along-move him to RB)
Newcastle-Given G
Boro-Woodgate CB
Sheff Utd-Hulse S
SOUTH:
Chelsea-Terry CB, Lampard M
Arsenal-Henry S
Portsmouth-James G
Reading-Doyle S
Aston Villa-Mellberg LB
Spurs-King CB
I'd trade the bottom four to Che£$ki for Drogba, Carvalho, Geremi and Essien, but since that violates the spirit of my picks...
Fulham-Boa Morte M
West Ham-Etherington M
Charlton- Luke Young RB
Watford- Ashley Young M
Howzzat?
Thx,
Jay!

Re: All-Star Teams: North v South
Jay - EVERYONE has to have a reprentative? Do they do that in the NFL/NBA/MLB? If they do, I'm sure they can hide them in their 200-man roster.
As I'm in charge, I'm eliminating that rule.
Here's my pick of the Northern Men:
GK: Given
LB: Heinze
CB: Woodgate
CB: Ferdinand (Rio)
RB: Nevlille
LM: Giggs
CM: Gerrarrd
CM: Cahill (Tim)
RM: Ronaldo
CF: Rooney
CF: Kuyt

Can I do a Britain vs The World like they do in the NHL? (Except it's North America vs The World in hockey)

MLB does, the NFL, NBA, and MLS don't, not sure about NHL (who will go back to east/west I think for 2007).
