Default Steve Sidwell and Kevin Doyle

When/if are we going to get these two lads locked up to long-term extensions?

The ceiling for these two is virtually limitless, especially considering the top-flight competition they'll face week in and week out in the Prem.

Do they want to stay and help make Reading one of the top clubs in the EPL?

Sidwell is iffy. It seems as if he wants to try to move to a bigger club, but with the way the team is doing now..he may be more likely to stay. Hopefully he does.

I think Doyle signed a new contract recently..I think it runs through 2009, if I remember right. After the Fulham game a reporter asked Coppell about Doyle and he talked about how he was rubbish, as a joke of not wanting anyone to "find out" about him.

lol pretty hard to hide him now what with 8 goals and up there among the top scorers in the EPL.

wonder if i can find that interview clip on youtube. Coppell's dead pan humour cracks me up.

I'd love to see it. In the same article, when asked if Reading had been to Europe, Coppell responded that "we went to Sweden in the preseason". I love that man...

Anyone got a figure on Reading's payroll total? I want to have a big grin on my face when I tell my friend, the Chelsea bandwagon jumping supporter, how much it costs to sit sixth on the table.

cause doyle is rubbish.......3 of his goals were penalties, one this weekend was an open header.....that other goal he scored was pure luck. so screw those goals, and i'd like to congratulate him with the 3 deserving goals he has this season

Wow you couldn't be any more incorrect. That PK that he drew versus Fulham, for instance, was the result of pure class and a deft touch.

The kid can straight out score and he's only going to get better.
