FSW Schedule
Good Morning,
I am sometimes confused as to the FSW scedule and the reasoning behind their live v tape scheduling of the EPL. I understand the Saturday stuff where they don't want to interfere with the PPV with the live match, but being a Toffee supporter I am mystified by the time of the match on Easter Monday against Chelsea. Since it is a 3:00pm ko in London that would mean a 10:00am ko here in NJ, right? But FSW advance schedule has the game for a 3:00pm ko on the eat coast in the USA. Is that correct, or will they show the game live as it says on an Everton web site? If not, why wouldn't it be live?
I know a lot of you don't care about the Toffees, but this is another importatn match, and I want to take off from work to watch live, but if it isn't going to be live then I'll go to work.

Is there a daylight savings time issue involved? Are the US and UK in synch on changing our clocks?

Yeah, its delayed for five hours but I can't figure out why they would do that on a Monday. I want the game live.

there could be a few reasons, one only comes to mind
the feed is not available live , just in case you may want to catch the game in person at the stadium
A Live game is tomorrow morning 10 am est Keller vs Man City

The game will be televised live on Fox Sports World Canada. So the feed must be transmitted live
to Los Angeles and produced at the same time by the FSW crew. It's just that telecast is delayed on Fox Sports World.
Why is the game delayed on Fox Sports World but live on Fox Sports World Canada? I suspect a big reason:
There is more important programming at 7:00 am PDT (10:00 am EDT). Look at the schedule. That programming is pertinent to the survival of Fox Sports World. It's called "Paid Programming". If you notice, the entire 3 hour block from 5-8 a.m. PDT on weekdays are allocated to such survival means. Think a game in England (albeit important) would interrupt such critical business operation?
Now, Saturday and Sunday are different, that's why FSW have been showing the games at 04:30 a.m., live, involving ManU lately.

That is exactly it. The paid programming angle. But it doesn't make much LONG TERM business sense. The paid programming half hours are like crack. Once you start accepting them they take over your whole life. How much money could you possibly make on a Monday in April at 10:00am? Put the games on live.
By the way, Keller is not the only member of Spurs, so stop the jingoistic stuff. He happens to be American but so what? I support Keller when he plays for the United States but I hope he plays miserably with Spurs and same with Friedel. But I rooted like hell for Joe Max to get a run with the first team at Everton and the same with Bake.
I appreciate great football, and I actually want to see it live. Especially a game of consequence for the final Champs league spot from the Prem.
And by the way, how could they not televise the Merseyside Derby as one of the games this weekend? Everton trying to hold off the hated Reds and Rooney against Owen? C'mon put the games on live.
