Default MLS on FSW......comments?

Personally, I thought it was good. Love the 1/2 hour wrap up after the match, hate the guy calling him "Harksey" Stop it, it's annoying!

Nice touch having the guys at the match, hope that continues. And....Max is Max, love him, hate him...i don't care, one more MLS match a week is great no matter who babbles the commentary.

The picture quality reminded me of the ESPN feeds during the World Cup. It was so blurry I couldn't identify the players. Max was good. Loved the camera angle. John Harkes is no Roy Wegerle, but I suppose he'll do for now. That was sarcasm.

Thumbs up Thumbs up from me

As FSW allotted 2.5 hours for the game, rather than espn2's 2.0 hours, the telecast did not have the "rushed" feeling it often does on espn2. This was doubly so tonight as they went to extra time.

More live soccer on TV = always good in my book.

Harkes made more sense in his first appearance than Ty has made in a decade.

I give Harkes an A-, considering it was his first MLS studio appearance.

Questions for the group

1) The announcers seemed to be having a very hard time identifying players. Were they at the stadium?

2) Are my eyes going bad or was the FSW picture (at least via DISH) blurry?

3) The crowd was either miked poorly or the mix was horrible because you could barely hear them cheer on the three goals.

1. They were in the LA stuidos.
2. The feed wasn't very good.
3. They need to improve the stadium sound.

1) I believe the announcers are calling the game from the studio. I think the agreement was just to send the sideline guy to the game.

2)The picture on DTV was also blurry. I switched to the shootout package, I believe Comcast was carrying it and it was also blurry. Could have been the same feed but I'm not positive.

Watching games from Arrowhead stadium on a 13 inch TV=not good. Camera used for the overall shot is wayyyyyy back off the field.

I thought they did well. You could really tell they weren't in the stadium, but if you've watched enough FSW, then you're used to it. There were a couple of touches called wrong, but nothing big.

I thought Harkes was good. He's still not completely comfortable looking at the camera, and on longer segments (where the camera was on him for more than 10 secs), he looked a little lost.

Not the greatest job in the world, but more soccer=good.

It's too quite. If you turned to the Shootout done by Comcast you could hear the crowd and that made the game a little more interesting to watch. I hope they can do something to improve that. I mean what would it cost to send some boom guys to get game and crowd noise?

Blurry for me, but I loved seeing the game.

Harkes did pretty good. Sean didn't impress me.

Max, Christian - I could complain, but I am just happy.

They said people can e-mail questions or call in questions...... but wtf is the e-mail and phone #????

MLS Wrap is a awsome show btw. Only thing i'd change would be the dude to stop calling Harks 'Harksey'. It sounds gay.
