Default Aarrggh. We need a striker

The article says Kitson has one more set of injections, and if he doesn't respond, he'll need surgery. It that's the case, he could be out for the rest of the season.

That means Doyle, Lita and Long are it.
That just is not enough. We need a kitson replacement. Any ideas?
Man, this just reeks. Kitson, one game, one goal. Nice prem average, but I'd much rather see him with 9 in 24.

Horrible news about Kitson. I don't really have a particular striker in mind, but absolutely another one will be needed, at least for the second half of the season. Any idea of one we could get on loan maybe? To buy one would be preferred, of course, but I don't know how much we'd be able to spend with another player needed in the midfield as well, and they're still after Mensah too.

Once Dean Ashton comes back, you might be able to snatch one from West Ham.

Garry O'Connor, 23 year old from Scotland and NT player, is wanting out of Lokomotiv Moscow.

Where else does Reading need to improve? Being American, I think that a new keeper would be good. Hahnemann is rubbish.

Thats a low blow my friend. I think you would find that the majority of Reading supporters are more than happy with his performance over the past few years.

The one thing he could improve on is his clearances and passing which truly are rubbish some of the time.

I understand the appreciation for Marcus' previous accomplishments at Reading, but from my limited viewings he doesn't appear to be Premiership quality...

Well, we just sent his backup out on a three month loan (stack) meaning he's being counted on fairly heavily. So, if Marcus goes down v port, who is in goal? Federici? Or is he also out on loan?

We just recalled Federici back from Bristol. Marcus has been struggling a bit, esp. compared to his last couple of seasons, but I can't even think about him getting injured.

Not that i believe Stack would make us all forget marcus, but starting federici would make me very nervous. Anyone see him play on loan? Is there great hope?

Can't we call in loans if a player is injured. I thought that was usually written into the agreement, but I suppose it depends on what the agreement was.

I heard MLS is going to allow both Dempsey and Twellman to go to Europe..possibly in time for the January transfer window. I love Dempsey and his ability to create opportunities...don't really know how he would fit with Reading since we have Seol already out there on the wing. You could make either Seol or Duece play up top but I haven't seen enough of that to say whether that is wishful thinking or something beneficial.

As far as Taylor Twellman, from a hustle standpoint, he fits in well with Coppell's crew. He comes back and plays defense and plays with a motor that goes 100 mph all game long. However, he's either hot or cold and I do not know if he has the talent level to make it in the Premiership. But, he might be a pretty inexpensive transfer and worth the shot of giving him a chance.
