Default Matchday 7: Energie Cottbus v. BVB [R]

Well, the Bundesliga returns this week and we have a Sunday trip to what in my opinion is the worst location in the Bundesliga. Cottbus.

The players have had close to a week and a half to mull over their last disappointing performance and the home fans jeering them off the pitch.

The question is, will they finally look in the mirror and realize they aren't playing tough enough or will they continue to just talk about the problems and do nothing to solve them?

Cottbus is another scrappy, battling, fighting team. The exact type that causes problems for our team.

And, Cottbus are always hell on their opponents at their home stadium.

Once again, this BVB team has a lot of questions to answer. I guess we will see if they finally step up to the challenge or take another step toward plunging this club into crisis?

A matchday 7 match in Cottbus shouldn't be a big match for any good team.

However, this is a big f#cking match for this BVB team.

Again, will they step up and give the tough, hard-fought performance they don't seem to have the heart to give, or will they cower before another scrappy, battling opponent who doesn't care what their names are or on what national team they play for, but just wants to kick their asses and take the three points???

Will they finally put it all together or truly put their trainer's job in jeopardy?

I wish I could say I know what BVB team will show up..........

"Kicker" is speculating that BvM will finally bench Degen, who has been shit for most of the season. They think BvM will play Kringe at right back again and put Ricken into Kringe's place in the midfield.

In the match against Hannover, I wanted to see Ricken in FOR Kringe. Another guy from the list wanted Degen out no matter what.

I guess he gets his wish. I hope this works out if BvM truly does go with it.

And I do agree that Degen needs some bench time. That's what straightened his ass out last season.......

IMHO play Kringe as right back and bring Tyrala (!) as left midfielder. Btw, I'll be in Cottbus.

Good luck in Cottbus man. You couldn't pay me to go to that place.

I'd rather see Ricken than Tyrala for defensive purposes. I have no doubts about Tyrala's talent, but I think experience is what we need on the pitch at the moment, not more youth.

Yes, Ricken is experienced and knows how to score. But Tyrala is much more agile and could cover Dede attacks with his speed.

I'll take the experience. Plus someone who knows how to keep his head on the pitch if things look like they're going to go wrong.

We've won every Bundesliga match we've played there. Let's hope the team keeps up that "tradition".

I tend to have an aversion to places where people of my complexion are openly assaulted verbally and physically.

That and the place is a shithole. The entire place is a shithole.
