Default turks spy on training session

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foot...nd/2905237.stm

I thought the turks were confident in their own ability to win the game...
So why did they send a spy to film the training session?...I thought such a CONFIDENT team wouldnt need to resort to dirty tricks...
Lets hope that cheats dont prosper..

Why is that such a dirty trick? Turkeys coach Senol Günes could have read all about how England trained in the sportssection of The Guardian today.

I somehow doubt that Gunes would just happen to pick up a copy of the guardian and read about the training session..
Reading about the session is one thing...But actually seeing a video is another thing.
A video would reveal any secret ideas that england had planned.. formation ,team selection ,set pieces,etc.....

Why do you think national teams train behind closed doors??? so the opposition cant see what they have planned...
Anyway..at least sven knows that the turks have been spying..maybe he can make afew changes.

You have got a point sinner_ronald_monk, but I really doubt Sven is going to come up with some revolutionary new tactics for tomorrows game. He has pretty much stuck to the same players and tactics since he became Englands coach.

Do you think this could be another April 1st joke?

It had better be a joke.
but if it is a true story than lets hope Gunes didnt get much information from the video.

sinner makes a good point in that the confident Turks have been braggin non-stop about how they are going to beat us etc etc etc yet they still seem to find it necessary to spy on our training sessions. If they're that good then why bother?

Here are a couple of quotes from their in-no-way-arrogant players:

"We beat all the best teams at the World Cup and nearly beat Brazil. Turkey are the best team in Europe." - Alpay, non-playing Aston Villa defender.

"Aston Villa are part of an English conspiracy. They have not been playing me deliberately so I am out of form for the game against England. But we ar still too good for them." - that fella Alpay again.

"We are not scared of England or worried about them at all? Why should we be? We are the team who finished third in the World Cup and should have won. They should be scared of us." - Tugay, Blackburn defender.

OK, so they have a right to be confident as they are the in-form team.

But can you imagine if an England player came out with crap like that prior to an international? All the same tedious old 'arrogant' nonsense would be trotted out again quicker than you can say "Didn'tbeatanydecentteamsontheirwaytothesemifinal".

Yeah the turks have been doing alot of talking in the last few weeks..
alot of big talk.....

they reached the semi's with wins over china ,japan and senegal...
I reckon that any half decent outfit could reach the semi's playing those teams..

You are not talking about the game at all my friend. Just look at your last post. All you are doing is for the purpose of putting down the Turkish soccer. Just try to be objective and and acnowledge the fact that Turkey's squad is in a better form than the English right now.

Braggin about a soccer game is one thing and talking crap about a team is another.
