Official NY Red Bulls vs. Chicago Fire 9/30 [R] Pre, During, Post-Match
I'd like to see Woly and Alti start up front against the Fire and I hope Dunivant is back playing left back along w/ Conway in goal.. I like what Schopp has shown so far especially when he charges thru the midfield... our transition from D to O is normally so damn sloooow...I blame Guevara for this, most of the time, as he takes forever to go forward.. Youri holds things up too much as well.. .we need speed AND skill thru the midfield not just the later...and it seems Schopp is leading the way to doing this. The other issue is conditioning and Arena in the post match quotes admitted that the team he took over was "poorly conditioned"... and you know that will change next year... will it change enough in time to salvage this season and get into the playoffs.. I hope so but only time will tell.. and hopefully the Bulls will take themselves by the horns and get a couple of wins in the last 3 regular season games...and we die hard Bulls fans need to be there to support the team even if it they are sometimes painful to watch. We can't slack off otherwise we are the true bums.. It is like a marriage vow...stay together "through thick and thin, bad and good, etc." BTW last night' s game vs. DC was entertaining to watch and there was some good soccer being played so hopefully the Bulls will keep their focus and gives us something to cheer about. We haven't beaten Chicago this season (like DC and the Revs) but this game is at home and we have done fairly well there since mid-May...only one loss and that was last week vs. the Revs.. Go Bulls.. I'd like to watch you at least 5 more times not just three this year! Here is the line-up I'd like to see for the upcoming Chicago game:
Conway
Wynne Parke Mendes Duivant
Schopp Guevara Stammy/Dema Youri
Alti Woly

That's valid but that was also two months ago.
I think I want Schopp to move off the wing and try barreling through the middle, maybe he'll draw the fouls he wants to draw.
Definitely not Stammler. The problem is I don't like Dema either.

Most of the fitness training is done in the pre-season so I give BA the benefit of the doubt...

I agree Schopp should be in the middle and for D-mid the only other option would be Knuckles and he has really not impressed lately...

I should also add that MetroFanatic reported there is no local television for this game (hockey bumps all the remaining telecasts either in part or their entirety - next Saturday it's the latter), so everyone better come out for this one. I'll be there if I can!

Can anyone confirm what the official site says, that the only TV will be HD Net?
If so I will be MIGHTILY pissed . How DARE they deprive me of one of the three remaining opportunities, this season, to wallow in the masochistic misery that is the lot of the RBNY supporter

I am planning on going to the Chico game too...fyi from the DC-Bills thread.. Alti left the reserve game w/a groin injury... hopefully his young 16 year-old muscles will recoup in time for the next game..

Re: Official NY Red Bulls vs. Chicago Fire 9/30 [R] Pre, During, Post-Match
From the Bulls Mlsnet.site posted today:
"I'll be honest with you. It's likely that this thing is going to go down to the last day," said Arena. "We hope we can get better. I think we've improved. We're actually improving in every game. Even though we don't have the results, we're improving. But there's no point in saying we're improving -- we need to get points."
How many of you guys/gals/eunuchs think the Bulls playoff hopes will go down to the wire vs. KC?

It has to. This team doesn't do anything easy.
