Smile Come On England

Lichenstein was a bit boring but we got the result - is the Turkey game going to be a better spectacle?
You sometimes play rubbish against rubbish teams and good against good teams.
Anyway I want to see more of Rooney if he's supposed to be the new Shearer and if not let's give Gazza another go!!!!!!!!
Did anyone see his goal the other night - awesome!

Thumbs up joe cole

Are you a West Ham fan or do you just think he's good?
What about James Beattie, how come he's not in?

Martin, that is true. There are times that you simply play to the level of your competition. Sometimes it just happens. Let's see if the lads have petro in the tank for the Turks.

Question

Granted, Sven's men seem to win when it really counts, but it can't feel good to lose in friendlies to OZ-land and not demolish little Lichty.
Is anyone concerned about this? Or is England just sleepwalking until Turkey? A ruse of some kind, perhaps?

Losing to Australia was annoying but irrelevant. Playing so poorly against Liechtenstein was much more of a concern but we do tend to raise our game when playing better opposition.

Although Turkey are favourites on current form, we are tough to beat especially at home. I predict 1-1.
