Sven and Eng-er-land must be more boned than I thought if they're relying on a 17-year-old to start their most important match since Brazil.

why would england be 'relying' on rooney by playing him? we'd be playing him because he has proven himself to be good enough to play at international level...that's it. noone would blame him if he played and we got got battered...so what?

the fact remains that rooney > heskey. hence, IMO, he should play.

were we 'relying' on owen when we threw him in at WC98? don't be daft.
