Default Just what we need: Man Ure in for Duff

According to radio reports and the London Evening Standard, Manchester United are about to make a significant bid for Blackburn's Irish international, Damien Duff, thus whipping away from under the noses of Liverpool. Talks started last week during the Dwight Yorke deal, and have apparently moved on since that time.

this is a b.s. rumor. We dont have the room or transfer money for Duff. Besides, he's way WAY over-rated, for sure not worth half the 20 million blackburn are asking. Sorry, but a striker who sprints down the field to hold the ball in the corner untill he's double teamed at which point he bitches like a brazilian for a call...fantastic stuff, worth 20 million easy.

And as we all know, ManU has never overpaid for a player.

What? When have we ever? I'm shocked and offended!

I should amend the post: we already have a player who holds the ball in the corner untill he can bitch for a call and we spent twenty EIGHT million on him.

Good...Duff needs to stay put, Rovers is putting together quite a stable of strikers with Jansen, Yorke, Cole, and Duff. Granted, Duff will probably see more time on the wings, but he has the ability to play up top as well.

Now, if only Rovers would sign their former trialist Josh Wolff...
