Even though Matthew Amoah showed a lot of potential, from the beginning of his European career, in Vitesse Arnhem, Ghanaian international footballer is not the player who will lead BVB to successes.
I believe he could be valuable from the bench only, but dirty old Van-Marweek should not give him too many chances, if he won't start producing good football.

Agreed. Amoah will be no more than our first or second striker option off the bench this season.

Amoah was only brought in because we were desperate for goals last season as Delron Buckley didn't produce any, Lars Ricken and Jan Koller got hurt and Ebi Smolarek couldn't find the net after the winter break.

Hell at the end of last season, except for Jan Koller's brilliant final performance, which he rarely showed in his years in the BVB shirt, I think our most dangerous goal threat was actually Christian Woerns.

How bad was that?

That's why we spent 8.5 million Euros on Nelson Valdez and Alexander Frei.

After that, you're goddamned right Amoah's ass will be on the bench this season.

He may see more playing time in midfield than at striker........
