Re: Good news 4-4-2 with Trezeguet et Ribéry
Vieira is the captain? What is Ray's love affair with Patrick all about???
Henry should be the captain and Vieira should be ON THE BENCH.
Two defensive midfielders is BS when France need a MINIMUM of 2 goals!

Re: Good news 4-4-2 with Trezeguet et Ribéry
Vieira was a lot better against South Korea than against the precedent matches he played in. I don't disagree with him starting the match against Togo. Of course we could completely ditch every attempt to play some defense, but we can't completely underestimate Togo. We need his physical presence as I feel Togo might pose some problems physically.

when he's on he can deliver some killer passes and slice open defenses, unfortunately he's been far too inconsistent with those. His lack of pace obviously hurts him and the team if we're trying to play quickly, so i'd opt for wiltord, govou, or maybe saha (reverting to a 4-3-3) as replacements over him should we find ourself in need of goals.
vieira shouldn't be captain despite his better performance against the koreans - with henry emerging as a leader and that we need to focus our game on him, he should be getting that armband. Or trezeguet...
oh and I hope domenech tells patty to STOP SHOOTING. lay it off to someone else...

I kinda like this formation. It's flat, simple and straight forward.
