Default Blatter: It's OK Referee Called Goal a Nogoal, France Should've Scored Another Anyhow

What an unbelievable ____hole.

http://www.football365.fr/depeches/f...la-video.shtml

My translation:

Sepp Blatter, FIFA president, talked about using video replay on RMC radio. He still doesn't want it and asks the French to stop whining.

On RMC radio, FIFA president Sepp Blatter talked about using video replay. He repeated he was not in favor of using this method . "To stop the game, I don't think that's the ideal solution."

However, he was in favor of "the chip in the ball to tell if the ball has crossed the goal line." A solution already tested in September by FIFA in the under 17 championshop in Peru, but that according to him is "still not 100% ready." "We will introduce it this fall," he added without going into details.

Finally, he talked about the refused goal that France scored on Vieira's header against South Korea Sunday night: "This game is based on human error, everyone makes mistakes. Since video replay isn't used for this World Cup, there's nothing left to do but to accept a decision or non-decision by the referee. France whines, but when you dominate in such a manner the first half, you're not allowed to let this game fall into the hands of your opponent. This should be said and you shouldn't look for errors in a referee or an assistant referee. There's a country that can be frustrated and that still must go home: Cote d'Ivoire who had a penalty shot stolen from them.

What's funny is that what the FIFA President is saying would actually be considered flaming on these forums.

Yeah I read about this too. There are two sides to this one: He's right on the premise that if we dominate the game in the first half, we should have pulled off a victory, however that does not go without saying that there have been many errors made by the referees so far...either way you see it we were denied one handball in the first game against Switzerland and we were denied a goal (which clearly went over the line) or you could simply say that Switzerland have so far been heavily favored by escaping a handball (penalty) in the first game and escaping another penalty against Togo.

My favorite part is when he says France shouldn't be scandalized that they were denied a goal, but Ivory Coast should be scandalized they were denied a penalty shot.

Hmmmmmmm......

It's true that our team should have played more than 60 minutes, but Domenech is right to put the pressure on refs. Just making sure this won't happen again.

And Blatter... well Switzerland can thank him

he did this out of pity for domenech. he thought "for the good of the sport, someone has to look like a bigger a**hole than raymond, and only possible candidate for the job is me."

once again blatter comes through! hooray!
