The refs were pretty sad! 3 goals called back and several missed chances off the woodwork. I heard it was probably the best game we played thus far. Oh well, that's the way it goes! It should be a good return leg match. Can't wait!!

"You are CORRECT, sir"!!! (In my best Phil Hartman does Ed McMahon voice). Yeah, it was Goldthwaite. I guess all the matches I went to/ watched on Saturday were blurring my memory!

I really miss those bursts of soccer enthusiasm my kids always had after EVERY Quakes game. We'd kick the ball around Spartan till' they started turning off the lights. I'd tell them it was time to go and always get, "Awww, just 5 more minutes, pleeeeease?" Of course we'd stay just a BIT longer!

It was nice to see my son pumped up again.

Good luck to the Frogs in their weekend road trip, with two Open Cup qualifying matches. Saturday at the Los Angeles Storm, and Sunday at the Orange County Blue Star. Both opponents are winless so for, and two wins could put the Frogs through to the Open Cup first round.

Tough loss for the Frogs tonight, 2-1 with the game winner coming in the 90th minute. They will need to bounce back strong against The OC tomorrow as anything short of a win will leave them out of the Open Cup.

Really looking forward to it and the fact that its an evening game is good too...the afternoon games in the summer can be brutal.
