When the USL released their broadcast schedule with Fox Sports World recently, it immediately started a controversy. The controversy surrounds which games are being televised, and that the A-league asked the teams involved to help pay for the broadcasting costs, which works out to be about $15,000 a game. Some teams, like the Charleston Battery decided that the price was too high and passed. Other teams, realizing the potential to gain new fans and advertisers, shelled out the dough willingly.
