Re: Giuly, Anelka slam Domenech
We all know Domenech is among the worst coaches at this WC2006 ... The guy has a lot of talents under his disposal but does not know how to select and use them right. France is so cheap in paying national coach and they have to pay for that price ... as DOmenech is a C class in coaching.

Re: Giuly, Anelka slam Domenech
giuly was pretty bitter about not domenech not even bothering to phone him and tell him why he wasn't selected, which is completely understandable. As a nat'l team coach you can't simply just laisse tomber and not explain yourself to the parties involved.
even if he does answer the call, the atmosphere would be so strained that it'd be better if he stays in australia.
*i don't think domenech ever explained his decision to coupet either. bastard.

Re: Giuly, Anelka slam Domenech
TIGNES - The Associated Press
France coach Raymond Domenech said he sacrificed individual talents like Ludovic Giuly and Nicolas Anelka to strike a wider balance within his squad at the World Cup.
Speaking to reporters for the first time since announcing his 23-man squad on May 14, Domenech said team harmony was the main factor in picking his players for Germany.
"It is important to find what works the best," said Domenech, who is spending several days with the squad in the Alpine mountain resort of Tignes.
"You have to find the players who function well together. In my mind, the 23 that I have chosen offer me such a guarantee," he added. "I have the certitude that all these players will get along."
Domenech would not expand much on why he did not call up Giuly, Anelka, or Johan Micoud.
"I understand their disappointment," he said. "But what counts now are the 23 players. We are preparing for the World Cup, for July 9."
Domenech said certain players are ready on standby in case of injury. A team can replace an injured player up to a day before the first match.
France opens against Switzerland on June 13, then faces South Korea and Togo.
However, this would appear to rule out Giuly and Anelka - both of whom said they are not prepared to play, even in emergency.
"No player is bigger than the French team," Domenech said. "If some don't feel concerned by the team anymore, so be it. I am not bothered. Those who want to play will have their chance up until June 12."
Domenech has selected Fabien Barthez as his No. 1 goalkeeper ahead of Gregory Coupet.
The decision prompted wide surprise in the French media, given Coupet's outstanding season with Lyon, which saw him voted best goalkeeper in the French league for the fourth straight year.
Coupet is reportedly upset by the decision, although Domenech says the opposite.

Domenech and Martini both flew to his house and to Fab's to speak about who was chosen as number 1.

Re: Giuly, Anelka slam Domenech
France will have another disappointing year since Anelka and Giuly are out.
Domenech is really ridiculous.
Why he exempted Giuly?
