Wisey and Poyet to Swindon
Wise in talks to be Swindon boss
Just a bit of local interest...
Swindon has just been relegated from League 1 and bringing Wisey and Poyet in would hopefully generate more interest for the Robins. Might have to make the occassional trip down to the County Grounds myself if they do come

Re: Wisey and Poyet to Swindon
If that happens, MG, I'm taking the train out to Swindon next time I'm in England.
Might be doing my Christmas trip again, I had too much fun last time.

I have a bunch of friends who are Swindon season ticket holders. They were pretty upset with the season...of course I also have a friend who is an Oxford season ticket holder so his season was much, much worse.
None of them talk to the Reading ticket holder friend of ours.

I wasn't planning on getting over next year...but now with my friends and family being so close to not only Wisey but 2 Americans in the Premiership, I may have to.

Re: Wisey and Poyet to Swindon
Where has Poyet been playing since he left Spurs like 3-4 years ago?? I thought he retired.
Remember his goal against United? Damn I loved that flick to open the scoring...

Re: Wisey and Poyet to Swindon
Good timing Eddie! I received my Chelsea mag today and in it is a Gus Poyet article.
He retired in 2004 and now spends much of his time in Uruguay where he coaches youth players in the same academy set-up that he cam ethrough as a boy...
His eventual aim is to move into management and he admits that a move into England as a coach would certainly interest him at some point.
'I would love to come back to England and do something in football... Who knows maybe I'll get the chance to work with someone who I played with like Dennis Wise or Gianfranco Zola...'
Looks like it happened sooner than he thought
