Looks like "Ben's Brigade" is the favorite... So who's got the photoshop chops to work up a t-shirt design?
This is not my original suggestion came from somebody else on a differnt thread but my favorite I saw was Sons Of Ben, accronym S.O.B. I think supporters can have alot of fun with a name like that. I thought it was clever and funny what does everyone else think. Once again was not my original idea, I don't remember who posted it but I am not going back to look now you all can go find the original post for yourselves if you interested. Once again... Sons Of Ben S.O.B.'s
Major must be my fan club president, he keeps posting about me every where. JK I came up with Sons of Ben. Go Ben!
I would vote for that. As a New Jersey residents I would like to see a name that embraces the region. It comes through with Sons of Ben. The idea of being descendents works, after all, most of us moved from Philly in the first place. SOBs RULE!
Can anyone design a Skull and Crossbones with the skull wearing bifocals and a Liberty Bell type crack in the upper skull and SOB on the teeth? Maybe instead of crossbones - an oar to represent the maritime history of the region and a long handled scythe to represent the agriculture. I'm a horrible artist. Thanks
i didn't spend too much time on this, so i wasn't able to incorporate the "SOB" into the teeth. but anyway, here's a first attempt by yours truly. just pencil on paper at the moment, so there's a ton of cleaning up to do. i tried to make the bones look like they are the handles of the scythe/oar. and because i didn't do the teeth thing yet, i draped a banner along the bottom for the "SOB". and i even made a pass at the liberty bell crack (complete with bolts), bringing it right into the eye socket. oh, and i found that it helps to be listening to AC/DC while you draw skulls. tell me what you guys think (but be gentle ).
That is nearly exactly what I imagined - the bone handles are perfect - I think I like the scarf better than the teeth - maybe drape it the same way on both sides and, try one with the oar up - just out of curiosity Thank you, Dillon! Great job - rep coming your way
I like some of the ideas you had with it, now if we can just get that guy who made those awesome concepts to do some photoshop work. and honestly I think I like the sash more then I would having the SOB in the teeth.
I love the design but do you think you could put a tri corner colonial cap on top of the skull, and maybe some long hair coming off the back of the head. Just throwing it out there since it's hearkening back to colonial era times and all.
thanks for the replies guys ... i plan on dropping the sketch into illustrator this weekend and making it a tighter and cleaner concept. i might try incorporating the tri-corner, but then you might lose the "liberty bell" crack, but i'm digging the suggestion to add hair. i'm also thinking it's a bit unbalanced with the tool-side of the crossbones being on the right, and the bone-sides both being on the left. what if the oar and scythe are at top-left and top-right, respectively? stay tuned ...
brought the sketch into illustrator and started cleaning things up. rotated the oar so the "handle" is at bottom-right. it's just a beginning, so hopefully it'll look much better as things progress. i'm thinking of making the sash thicker/more substantial as well. comments, suggestions, feedback?
glad your liking it, bryan ... it is, afterall, your idea. i'm digging the mischeivious, sh*t-eating grin he's got working there.
can't edit last post ... just wanted to say i've take the logo info and put it into its own thread which you can follow HERE.
