I haven't had time yet, but all of my coaching collegues say that it is a great book, and well worth the trouble to read.

Aparently it really deals with how to get the most out of yourself as a coach, and the most out of the kids who play for you.

I concur with the previous poster. I've almost finished it and would highly recommend it.

Thumbs up

I read it this summer, It's a great read for any aspiring coach or player. Not only does Coach Dorrance give insight to how he runs the UNC program; he gives great advice to coaches(whether you work with men or women), players, and parents.

I highly recommend this book!

I just purchased it 2 weeks ago and it's one of those books that you'll have to read a few times because each time there's something new that you learn. Very excellent book written by someone who knows what he's talking about...

On the sly...Steve, are you at Holy Cross? And on top of that, a ManU fan? In Indiana? What am I? Dreaming?

Dorrance's book is excellent. I found it in the other titles section of a book The Champion Within: Training for Excellence by Lauren Gregg and Tim Nash. I was disappointed in Even Pellurud's.
