...but do you guys know of any German messageboards that my 55 year old Mom could check out?She can't stand sports and I don't speak enough of the language to search for an internet community she can relate to.Just casual talk.No sex sites or crap like that please.

perhaps she can try www.puschkin.de .

its a community with a big board and chat, i was there some years ago and there are a lot of nice people. its more about problems between men and women.

abouts politics and news there is a board at www.spiegel.de or www.focus.de, these 2 pages are from german news-magazines.
