Default Is Asamoah Going To The Wm?

He's really tearing up the Bundesliga, scoring goals like crazy for Schalke.

Seriously, tho- how does a "striker" with- what 2 or 3 goals, get called up for the NT? What about Kiessling, Lauth, Hanke or Bdraric?

Default Ps--

Maybe Klinsi is looking at the "Yellow cards" given during each game & thinking they're goals!

Asamoah is more of a fighter and gets the ball for some to score then actually score I think. Hanke has been injured and not doing well. Lauth just got out of a slump and brdaric or kiessling dont have a chance of being called in unless people get injured.

Asamoah will play, his strongness is the fight.

Mike Hanke, he play in a international top team and score 25 goals or so. A dream.
Hanke plays in Wolfsgurg, thrown out of the UI Cup and fight again relegation.
He don`t score 25 goals.

Kiessling, his team should hold the class.

Bdraric, Hannover. He's an average player, sometimes good, but only sometimes.

Benjamin Lauth, Hamburg. Surely, he will play.

You're obsession with denigrating Asamoah is getting a little silly.

Plus, Asamoah's role with the team wouldn't be as a goal poacher anyways. Look at his performance vs. Palermo to see what he can do. While not the most technically gifted player, he's a bundle of energy, and an effective disrupter. He would be very useful coming on as a sub. While not a shoe-in for an NT spot by any means, I wouldn't mind having him on my team at all.

Just stating the facts! A "Striker" who doesn't score! I hardly would call that "denigrating"---I wouldn't want a Goal keeper who can't stop shots--no matter what kinda "fight" he has in him. I think the guy w the "obession" w him--is Klinsi.

is he going? Yes
SHOULD he be going? No.

I don't see a lot of value in him at the moment. Sorry. He doesn't produce for Schalke or the NT. Besides the non scoring part, he keeps losing the ball, keeps losing one on ones in the air and on the ground and doesn't contribute to important plays. He disrupts the game that is correct, but mostly for the team he is on, be it Schalke or the NT.
The one thing going for him is that he is indeed a fighter and physically very strong. But that's it.

Which is one of the things this German NT is lacking!!!!! A true fighter. Someone who is not afraid to take on a player. A player whos effectiveness is not judged on how many goals or assists he scores, but by the havoc he creates in defenses.

Sure he was bad against the US, but he was misused. Three forward set? Podolski and Klose were isolated islands at times.

Throw him into a tie or losing game in the WM, and you will see his use. I don't see him as a liability to the squad, but actually a great benefit.

I am with Jaison. This clearly is an obsession with you. According to your profile http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/searc...archid=1863995
you have started ten threads and three of those ten had Asamoah's name in the thread title. A fourth, the National Mannschaft, you used very quickly to say how much you disliked Asamoah. Give it a rest. We get the point.
