No -- unlike the oHTer game, training does not depend on appearance in a match to be effective.
It's probably hurting your form moreso, and your pocketbook less so.

Form for your untrained backups, I mean... your starting lineup will be just fine because they're playing regularly in the league matches.

I came to point and laugh at Zeek for not scheduling any friendlies...
