Re: 2 victims for klinsmann, who's next?
I would hope for the skillfree Kuranyi and Asamoah to be his next victims, but Klinsmann sadly seems to fancy them.

Sorry, but to take out Woerns was not a performance based decision. It was because of personal differences. Because of age? What does that have to do with it? Lehmann is 36 also, in addition Woerns has been one of the best German defensive players of the BL season!!!! In fact a little bit of age and experience is exactly what the team is MISSING! That's why I believe for examle Scholl should have been nominated for the team a long time ago.
I certainly DO agree that Huth and Friedrich should go. Huth, since he simply SUCKS and doesn't get any playing time in Chelsea and Friedrich, who has been weak in the BL as well. Mertesacker is one of the better defensive players we have and he should stay on.

Re: 2 victims for klinsmann, who's next?
woerns was dropped for personal reasons yes. but he was still dropped, he is a good palyer and would have preferd him partnered with Reinhardt in Germany's defence
the purpose of the thread is to post those players you think klinsmann will drop

Well, that's not what you said in your first post and why I respectfully disagreed. That's all....
Plus there is a difference between who will he still or who he should have dropped a long time ago.
Should have: Huth, Friedrich,Assamoah, Schneider, Kuranyi.
Will drop: Nobody, due to lack of alternatives and the little time left to the WC.
Now he should work with what he has got and make sure that they will be at their peak performance for the WC!

Re: 2 victims for klinsmann, who's next?
What do you have with Bastian Reinhardt?
He made only 100 minutes in 2006 for HSV.
He´s a total substitute player at Hamburg
and Hamburg plans to let him leave at end of season.
He never proven himself on international level,
he´s a total questionmark.
From Hamburg there i see Trochowski and Lauth
as candidates, but definetely not Reinhardt.
---
Friedrich will stay in the national team, there is no question behind him,
i know, he´s not world-class, but do you know
a better German right defender?

Klinsman is not dropping Huth...if anything, Robert is Jurgen's sweetheart....
Who knows who the next victim will be.....

Re: 2 victims for klinsmann, who's next?
The next victim will be Klinsmann and his boy club (Bierhoff, Löw, Köpke)
Or do most of you really think that the German NT can meet the expectations of the whole german nation? I can't, and considering the fact the Klinsmann was mostly like an elefant in a porcelain shop in doing the things he wanted to do. Even when some things were undoubtedly good, he simply crushed too much porcelain and made himself to many enemies, who will all come out at the first sign of failure in the World Cup and will try to sack him! Sure, there is still the chance that the NT can meet the expectations somehow, but that's quite unrealistic if you ask me.

He won't, expectations are too high anyways. I was going to say he will be the victim himself but I don't want to be too pessimistic here..

Re: 2 victims for klinsmann, who's next?
I wouldn't call it pessimistic, I think it's just a realistic view on the WC aftermath
