My mum was bitching at me for slamming her car door when I got in. So when I was closing it I tried to be extra careful. Unfortunately my thumb slipped in the wet conditions and the door caught my joint when it closed. I now have a fractured thumb and the pressure/blood/etc has built up behind the nail, causing a throbbing pain. Usually they would drill through the nail to release the pressure, but they can't because of where the fracture is. Now I've got to live with it for two weeks to see if it calms down. Perfect for exam time.

You should be able to score some Vicodin and Precocet off an injury like that though..
