Default Best Starting Line Up

Who do you feel would be Germany's strongest starting 11? And how would you play them (4-4-2 3-5-2). I wonder if there's any kind of "general consensus among posters.

hmm....I have two systems in my mind:

-----------------Lehmann-----------------
--Lahm---Friedrich---Mertesacker---Jansen
-----------------Kehl---------------------
-----Frings------------Borowski-----------
---------------Ballack--------------------
------Klose------------Podolski-----------

--------------Lehmann-------------------
--Lahm---Metzelder--Mertesacker--Jansen
-----------Kehl--------------------------
---------------Frings--------------------
---Borowski-------------Schweinsteiger--
-------------Ballack---------------------
------------------Klose-----------------

My problem is the centre back position. I hope that Metzelder and Mertesacker improve, otherwise we'll get some problems. Manuel Friedrich would be an alternative.

I like both lineups. Both look strong. Any others with ideas?

I would go with

-----------------------------Kahn
------------Fahrenhorst------Kehl-------Metzelder
-----------------------Hamann-Borowski
Frings----------------------------------------------Lahm
-----------------------------Ballack
-----------------------Klose------Neuville

4-4-2

-----------------------------Kahn
Lahm-----------Fahrenhorst-------Metzelder-----Lahm
----------------------------Kehl
Frings/Borowski-----------------------------------------Schweinsteiger
-----------------------------Ballack
-----------------------Klose-------Neuville

Yepp, that looks good. The only thing I'd change is Mertesacker for Fahrenhorst.
I'd also take Klose out of the mix and chose Assamoah instead..........
Oh wait.....its not the first of April yet.....sorry....

I'll have a more defenive set up, with Kehl as sweeper

or a 4-5-1,
-------------------Lehmann----------------
--Lahm----Metzelder---Mertesacker---Friedrich

-Borowski-----------------------Schweinsteiger
