Unhappy The Injury Bug

Andy Thomson gets his first goal in a long time two weeks ago, last week gets his first start since November, and is now out six weeks with a hamstring problem. Chris Plummer makes his first appearance in fifteen months (!) and now is out for "an extended spell" with a hamstring injury picked up in training.

Also, Clarke Carlisle "could miss out" this weekend after already having to sit out the last one due to a calf injury. Karl Connolly, who looked to be near a return after being out since November, will be absent from the squad and further tests are necessary on his foot. Dennis Oli is out yet a couple of more weeks.

The main good news... Richard Langley is near to returning, and the hot Richard Pacquette should be back this week after sitting out the last game.

I know it's the time of year where you can't help but have a bunch of injuries, but this is getting to be a bit much. Come on, you R's!

Default Injuries

We do oseem to have the worst luck. Everytime a layer begins to get their act together they get injured. Rosey looked like he was beginning to be a major influence when he picked up a knock that kept him out for a month. Gino -- same story.

It has been the same for the last couple of years. Remember when Burgess came in and looked great and then immediately got a terrible injury. Grrrrrrr!

Do other teams have as many injuries as us?

COME ON URRRRRRRRRRRRRRsss!!

Hi Dylan, welcome to BS and the QPR area.

The good news in all of this to me is that QPR has been able to maintain good form through some injuries. It seems like the one indespensible guy is Kevin Gallen, thankfully he's healthy and playing well.

Prediction:
QPR 3-0 Port Vale

Default You may be right about KG being indespensable

You may be right about KG being indespensable. It was his mysterious "buttock strain" that started our bad run before Xmas. We've done some great stuff over the last 2 months in spite of injury, so long may it continue.

What do ya reckon Olly will do as players come back from injury -- stick witht he successful formula or go with the "better" players?

COME ON URRRRRRRRRRRRssss!!
