Germany players partying prior to the US game
A friend of mine met all of them at a pub in the Altstadt of Düsseldorf. The only ones missing were Owomoyela and Podolski. I have autographs from the rest of them from that night. Asamoah was the only one with a girl. A skinny blonde Paris-Hilton-Look-Alike. Klose was drunk.

Re: Germany players partying prior to the US game
I'm shocked Asamoah cheats his ghanaian wife from London.

Asamoah can get women? NO WAY!
That smile gets them everything.

Re: Germany players partying prior to the US game
Wait a minute. Could you please elaborate on just how prior to the game 'prior to the US game' means?
If we just got beat by a drunk German team, I'd like to know about it (I did think Piggy looked a bit rough, now that you mention it, though).

No it was on Tuesday night before the match. A friend of mine was in a pub in Düsseldorf when all the sudden the barkeeper put "reserved signs" on a table. The bouncers didn't let anyone in anymore and minutes later most of the players came in, sat down and ordered a beer. My friend said Klose looked kinda drunk. She talked to Asamoah (who was the only one who brought company) as he came out of the restrooms. She just wanted an autograph from him but he gave the paper to all the players to sign it. Pretty cool I think.

Hah ok makes sense now.
I think its a good move...to loosen the players in a tense atmosphere.
Was Klinsi there?

They had a terrible hangover until the end of the first 45 min of the match; and then woke up and started playing some decent football.

Re: Germany players partying prior to the US game
Your friend was really lucky to get all the autographs.
The drinking session together has made Die Langweilighemdschaft into a fighting unit again, and returned them back to their winning ways.
Also they got rid of one unwanted statistic in the process. Since they had beaten England at Wembley in 2000, they hadn't beaten another top ranked team. Now that record is set straight.
Congratulations.
