Default Which forwards will go to Germany?

Obviously Henry is a no-brainer, and I have to think Trezeguet is as well.

But of Wiltord, Cisse, Govou, Saha, etc., who will be the other 2-3? Is Anelka still in exile from the team?

I used to know the French team well, but I don't anymore. I ask the question not to spark debate about who should go, but because I am curious about who will go. I know they used a lot of France-based players during qualifying who I just don't know that well, but I think injuries played a role too. Does Domenech have a clear preference for France-based players?

FYI, the 2 keepers and 20 field players who saw the most time on the pitch during France's qualifying campaign:

GK: Coupet, Barthez
D: Gallas, Givet, Boumsong, Sagnol, Squillaci, Thuram, Evra, Silvestre
M: Vieira, Makelele, Dhorasoo, Zidane, Malouda, Pedretti, Pires, Giuly, Diarra
F: Wiltord, Henry, Cisse

Who will be the third keeper? Who makes way for Trezeguet?

i think these are the 5 strikers to make the team
henry(2nd best scorer in premiership) , trez(2nd best scorer in italy), witord(top 5 in france), anelka, saha(playing well for manu put van nistelroy on bench)
--------cisse(barely play for liverpool) and govou out

My starting team (and probable starting team in wc 2006)would be

GK: Coupet,
D: Gallas, Thuram, Sagnol, Boumsong,
M: Vieira, Makelele, Zidane, Giuly,
F: Henry, Trezeguet

bench
Barthez, Evra,Silvestre, Dhorasoo, Diarra, Wiltord, anelka, saha

2nd half saha or anlka for trez(if not playing well), witord or Dhorasoo for giuly

will you guys be starting an all black french team, save the keeper?

that is very interesting if true. How many of these players were born in France?

And this is why we should sticky a thread or something about it somewhere...

You mean vis-à-vis the french squad. Well, he had words with the previous NT manager (Santini) as he declined a call for a friendly (he wasn't part of the squad and got a last minute call) and is often viewed as someone ill tempered or at least disturbing for the serenity of the staff...

Now if you mean Turkey...He was kinda blacklisted for several big European clubs so he decided to move there. The fact that he converted to Islam might have played a role. This said, this situation seems to fit him so good for him and maybe good for us as well.

France won't be starting an all black team, but why would that be interesting if true? Who cares about the color of our players?

I'm only interested in who can play, and that hasn't been too many of our players as of late.
