Default Week 9 matches

Four wickets taken, RR under five on a hard'n'fast pitch against the weak sister team of the series (non-bot in line for an autodemote).

I'm within touching distance of the County Championship!

Thanks to another win today and 3rd place beating 2nd i'm now 12 points clear with 5 games left, 2 of them against bots.

Hopefully I can secure promotion with a couple of games to spare so I can rest my star in time for the World Cup. It's been a good week for him with 2 pops, his best u19 score, going up 9 places in the ODI player rankings and another not out today.

Edit: And I just realised he's hit feeble experience today. Not bad for an 18yo.

We're chasing 231-8 on a hard'n'fast pitch. That should be a relatively easy target, especially if the top end can hang around for a while.

Wow. I went to sleep thinking I'd surely lost; I woke up to find I'd won a good game. It was against the league leaders and only non-bot in my series. I managed to hold his quality top of the order in relative check and bounced him after 168 runs. I then proceeded to pull off a win even after my top man went out after 7 runs. I had a better night's sleep than I realized!

I went down like I expected. I have been TIEing it against the top 3-4 teams in preparation for my string of games against 6, 7, and 8 in three of the last four weeks. I am sitting in fifth which would be a qualifier but I think I can hold my own in a qualie and its highly unlikely I can make a run at fourth unless the guy really trips up.

Norse had an easy eight-wicket win, with Seargeant going for a century and Clairmonte going for 50 (on the second-to-last ball of the match, no less).

easy win for my guys. bowled them out for 158 and then got to that in 23 overs no wickets lost. forgot to tie unfortunately...

I'm this *holds out fingers* close to winning promotion to the windies premier... I'm 4pts behind the leader... i've got him next and i've got a slim nrr late over him so if i beat him I'll be in 1st.

*** looking at promotion table it appears I'll have to gain some ground in NRR as Borderliners (in II.4) will be tied w/ me on points and his NRR is slightly better than mine, so I'll have to work on keeping that NRR very high...

I can taste the premier... I think I'm going to have to splash some cash on a bowler to help bowl those bastards out cheaper.

EDIT:

The bastard's putting up exceptional top order ratings I usually put up remarkable... i have to figure he's going to FGI which leaves me in deep doodoo. My only advantage is spin bowling where he's only respectable... i already have my pitch on dusty but i don't know... i'm feeling very vulnerable all of a sudden... i thought I had the measure of this guy.

Now I'm definitely buying a player. Maybe a batsman, but probably a bowler... I'm selling my back up wk and I may decide to sell my 5th bowler too to raise funds to get me a top notch quick.

Played a GFI and lost a very close match. 315/5 to 322/5. The loss drops me down to third place and pretty much ends my hopes of finishing first and promoting.
