Re: USA-Germany in the Algarve Cup
Hm... I don`t think the match next week will go to overtime and penalties.
I might be wrong...

The women were a bit lucky today, but they showed fighting spirit.
Sack Klinsmann and his boys and let them play.

Re: USA-Germany in the Algarve Cup
Very good and action packed match that makes you wonder why women football doesn't get more attention. It's not as fast paced as the men's version, but these girls' skills with the ball are impressive ( No, that was not a sexual reference you dirty mind ).

Re: USA-Germany in the Algarve Cup
Didn't the German women used to have to play with three-starred men's jersey. I was glad to see them with their own one star above the badge. The US women had no stars that I could see.

Yes, you are right, they have one star on the shirt.

Didn´t notice it watching the match.

Apparently, there were even some that wanted to put four stars above the badge, as the stars (i.e. the titles) belong to the association as a whole. Of course, that would have meant the men would have had four stars as well...
The women prefered to just have their one star instead though.

maybe a pink fourth star, but I like the one star, especially as women's soccer is growing and the stars are likely to accumulate.
