Default Charlton-Everton [R]

Toffeeweb's match preview here:
http://www.toffeeweb.com/season/02-03/reports/Charlton(a).asp

Charlton's on a roll similar to ours and with the Addicks being just six points back of us we need this one to solidify a European position.

15 minutes in, still 0-0.

Everton had the best chance so far as Pistone's header from a corner was turned behind by Dean Kiely.

Charlton up 1-0.

Bartlett's shot was saved by Wright, but Kishishev taps in the rebound. Everton's defense was caught static while waiting for an offside call that never came.

Should've been 2-0, but Wright somehow keeps Scott Parker's shot out of the net.

Everton's backline having all sorts of problems ... Jensen, Parker and co. are running at them almost constantly.

Li Tie fouled just on the edge of the box ... resulting free kick is laid back for Stubbs, whose shot takes a deflection behind for a corner. Stubbsy got closed down hard, though, and he's off for some treatment.

Stubbs is stretchered off, Yobo on to replace him. Pistone's header from the corner is saved and held by Kiely.

Halftime, 1-0 to Charlton. Everton need something special to break up this one. Paging Mr. Rooney....

Announcers speculating Stubbs may have been taken off for a leg fracture ... bad bad bad.

this is shite, we really need to play direct. Radzinski looks like he will be getting the space that he needs to score...

wonder if Moyes is going to get Rooney on immediately for McBride or Radzinski...or maybe sacrifice a midfield player...and go 3-4-3 with either Yobo or Pistone just above the backline as a d-mid or as another centre or right mid..

Newcastle not doing us any favors, either. Chelsea just went up 2-0 at St. Andrew's.

Everton with some good pressure at the start of the half. Couple of corners in succession - that's at least nine for the game now.

the forwards sound like they're being more effective now than they were earlier. McBride has been mentioned a few times with a few chances.
