I'm batting. my GFI against Knuckleheads was a waste!

Re: Week 8 Matches
Comfortable win over 2nd. I made 263/7 on the dusty pitch then skittled them for 100. They helped me out though with no less than 4 run outs!
8 points clear with 6 games to go - 2 of them against bots. I'm finally starting to believe I might be competing in the first 'proper' County Championship next season

Re: Week 8 Matches
Seargeant is having a rough week -- out for one in the ODI and now out for 19 against Borderliners. The squad was hanging with a run rate below 4 going into the last ten, now the main question is whether the back end of the order can hold on the rest of the way.

Re: Week 8 Matches
End of Over 4: 13-2, runrate=3.25, reqrunrate=3.26 (162-10)
Keane 2-0-8-0
Summers* 7 (11 balls)
Townley 1 (6 balls)
getting one of these wickets is crucial to make this a match

Re: Week 8 Matches
End of Over 17: 62-3, runrate=3.65, reqrunrate=3.06 (162-10)
Rose 4-0-12-0
Summers* 33 (39 balls)
Everard 4 (6 balls)
got one of the tough guys. Everard is also good, so I could use another wicket stat!

Re: Week 8 Matches
And that's the end of the match. Knuckleheads won by 5 wickets.
Wicketkeepers 162-10
Knuckleheads 165-5
and i lost.
Summers was dropped in the deep on the last ball to get them 3 runs to win. grrr. 3 drops. if i had caught those two that were missed before I would've had a great chance to win.

Re: Week 8 Matches
Killed Voodoo Child (bot). Unfortunately they batted first so my NRR didn't get any help.

i've only batted first in like 3 of my matches and i have a NRR of around 18, though it will go down after the loss today.
i don't think batting second lowers your NRR. i think it is a myth, unless someone proved it somewhere.

Re: Week 8 Matches
I haven't been playing Julian in league matches because for a while his stamina couldn't handle it, but the WI NT manager saw that I had a big match this week and told me to go ahead and play him if I wanted to. So I put him in the lineup and he scored 170 on 140 balls. I've almost finished a win with a margin of 50 runs or so.
