MLS embarrased again.
Revs and LA are continuing the MLS tradition of choking in international competitions. So what if we won the CONCACAF Cup six ********ing years ago and beat Sao Paulo like 10 ********ing years ago. And don't give me any of that "this is a good learning experience" bullshit. MLS choked and lost to what I believe were inferior clubs. I don't care if you think I'm trolling, go ahead and neg rep and card me if you want to.

Re: MLS embarrased again.
it doesn't help the two teams are out of full form and fitness, but still, the matches in the US were pathetic. They had the chance to take leads, even if just a single goal, to the road match. but they failed for sure in their efforts.
I was just commenting in the NE forum that with those 180 scoreless minutes in CCC combined with 120 in the MLS Cup, it was 300 minutes of decent defense but to no benefit as they couldn't score once in those 300.

Re: MLS embarrased again.
totally agree
the ccc could be a great way also to help the popularity of the sport here, sense it seems like most people only pay attention during the world cup and americans are cocky knowing that they had the best club in the region couldnt hurt

I disagree with on this. I don't believe that Saprissa and Alahuenlence are inferior to MLS. MLS has gotten better but we're not at their level. The Ticos play the best soccer in Central America, IMO.

No, the Ticos were out played most of the time, except then the MLS clubs choked IMO.

Right, but when - traditionally - the costa rican clubs have played better soccer than MLS I don't see where the embarasment is. do you think that losing against Germany is an embarasment? I don't think so, they have a much better level of play.
So, if your cherishing this opportunity to bash the MLS because they lost of against those clubs, let me tell you my brother, you're dead wrong. Because the costa rican clubs have generally play better than MLS, in case you didn't know.

Heh, comparing Germany to Costa Rica is nonsense, especially since the US fielded a second-string team against Germany and Costa Rica has the unfortunate postion of being the first team to face Germany in the WC and are going to get butt ********ed come July.

I wasn't exactly comparig Germany and Costa Rica. I know that Germany plays better than Costa Rica. The point i was trying to make is that both Germany and Costa Rica have generally play better soccer than the US, especially at the club level. Consequently, it should come to no surprice or "embarasment" that the US clubs lost againt their counterparts in Costa Rica. It is not an embarasment!
