The BigSoccer Profiles Thread

Over recent months a number of BigSoccer members have been in discussions about creating a series of profiles of some of the greatest players to ever play the game. We had noticed that there was a dearth of good information about many of the game’s greatest figures on the web, especially in English, and decided to attempt to resolve the situation.

Now some of our first results are ready.

This thread will be the master thread with links to every player profile, which are spread among the individual boards of BigSoccer.

The profiles completed are just a small sample of what we hope to eventually complete, and there should be many more on the way in the weeks and months to come. The end result will ideally be a comprehensive resource for all fans of the game to learn more about some of history’s greatest figures.

In each thread we have aimed to combine an in depth biography, with detailed statistical information (thanks to Gregoriak) to provide a profile that is not commonly available elsewhere.

This has been in gestation for 9 months now, so hopefully it will be worthwhile.

If anyone on the boards would like to be involved in this and thinks that they have something worthwhile to contribute, please PM myself or one of the other contributors as there are many left to do.

you guys gonna do any more of these? do you consider requests/suggestions? the ones youve done so far are excellent. definitely worth five stars.

There's lots more in the pipeline and I'm probably as guilty as anyone in slowing this down. That said there will be some more up this week.

As for requests we have a large list so far to work through but feel free to drop me a pm and I'll let you know if they're on the "immediate" list.
